re: streem
Streem looks kind of like Twitter and Tumblr, minus the ability to import feeds. But oh, those bright colours sure do hurt my eyes! Is there any theme customization? I’m not sure I can handle another lifestreaming site. I have Tumblr, Twitter, Flickr, Powce, and Jaiku (just to name a few). I have Facebook, Del.icio.us and Digg. Now what I really need is a digital life aggregator. But what DLA to choose? Netvibes? Ziki? Profilactic? Streamy? (there’s that stream word again!) Someone help me please … my online social presence is out of control. - angelacwi hear you. the colors are obnoxiously bright. once you sign in you can click on a link and it makes everybody’s pages nice, muted shades of grey. they should totally make that available without signing in. yeah, i don’t need another site either. lol. just signed up merely for the curiousity factor. it is a cool idea but really rough at the moment. i’m not intending to do anything with my page really…just tried it for the fun of it.
So here’s my streem: http://www.streem.us/angelacw
What I don’t like:
No easy bookmarklet or posting tool
Can’t import RSS feeds automatically
Can’t edit posts
No theme customization
Bright loud colours or boring grey
No HTML support
I can add and edit someone elses tags (Alicia, I just edited one of your posts)
What I like:
tags and filters
not much else……
What do I think of streem? A very beta version of Pownce/Twitter. (“Rough” is a good description.)
Tumblr still rocks.
